Angled header.

I am adding an extention to the back of my garage.
The back stairs of my house cut into the opening a bit.
I want to put in a header that will support the ceiling
and the stairs. How can I build, or obtain, a header
with an angle in it? Essentially I need something like
a 10 foot straight header that then turns down 45
degrees for about another 6 feet.
