I recently had to drain the baseboard hot water system to install a new section of pipe.
There are three zones on the system: basement, 1st, and 2nd floor. The heat is coming up in the basement and 1st floor, but it is completely cold on the 2nd floor.
I looked for bleed valves on the 2nd floor, but couldn't find any since I suspect there is a great deal of air in the system. I looked on the furnance and observed a valve labeled "air out". Do you think I should open it up?
