Prefinished hardwood floors and odour

Hi:

My father installed beautiful hardwood floors ...they are already finished...in February 2001.

Now there is an odour that I am trying to source from
these floors. It is very nauseating. I really need
help on this matter. I am wondering if anyone else is
experiencing this problem

What I would like to know is what compound is causing this odour? Is it healthy to be breathing in this odour. All I can say is that it is quite nauseated.

Due to a recent change in my health I am now smelling it more than ever. At first I thought it was my cat but thankfully it is not.

Thanks for any kind of assistance. I am also going to invest in a service that will do an analysis of this
type of odour.
