I can't smell it from here, but I would guess that the smell is unrelated to the floor installation. Maybe you had a critter crawl in and die somewhere in your house, or you have a bad rot problem b/c of a leak or condensation or duct trouble. If the smell is from the floor area then I would look UNDER the floor, not AT it.
