Thanks Steve, I appreciate your assistance. The A/C unit inside the house sits out approx. 7" from the wall cavity. I also want to run the box approx. 70" so that I can have the wall box running across the wall instead of just covering the A/C unit. Can you explain to me how I can build a box which would be approx. Wide 70" Depth 7" and Height 24". What would be the best method to attach it to the wall. I guess I can buy the shutters pre-made.
