my suggestion is to try sealing those leaks with the squirt in expanding foam to fill the opening completely you can trim it off with a razor blade or knife too to allow reinstallation of the baseboards and the window trim....hope this helps. maybe others may other ideas to try as well. post back with your solution/results.
