most likely this is a very old faucet ...with worn washers, etc. just go to home depot and get you a replacement faucet....and change it out....the new one should be trouble free for several years or more. Refurbishments of badly worn faucets dont last long...if you are gonna fool with it at all...may as well change it out. LJ
