pockets doors are great when in installed well. the only down side I am aware of on use of pocket doors is that the wall the door slide back into (the pocket) will not have room any further foor electrical outlets/or its wiring, pictures may not be installable on that wall because fasteners may interfere with the door sliding back into the pocket. the stud framing that comes with the pocket door kit is usually about 1 inch thick to all sufficient space for the door in the wall cavity. Sometimes the doors may come off the track but this does not happenly usually with good quality or well installed doors. hope this helps. LJ
