I have had good luck cutting from the back with a very fine plywood skillsaw blade. No carbide teeth or anything, basically throw it away when I'm done b/c it is dull. Cut backsplash first and then the main part. You can practice once in the one foot section that you are throwing away. I always leave a little more than I need and use a belt sander on the edge to make it nice smooth finished cut.
