backing of carpet is foam backing read on!

I have tried to just pull up. It is a old yellow color. Peaces of the foam backing stay glued and really the major part of it.

I have been told there is a machine that will take it up but costs $ 24 aday to rent want to know if any one had used this.

or of any other ideas to get it up.
