Crown molding has to be cut with a compound mitre saw with two angles, the wall angle and the corner angle.

If your trying to do a simple 90 degree cut and using crown, it will not mesh right.

You need to use the crown molding angle tables for a proper cut.

Or forget the crown molding and use a regular moulding and use the 90 degree cut and it will work for you.

Crown is a completly different bird than a regular 90 degree cut. Crown again takes two angles hence compound mitre box saw.
