my husband and i are looking at a house that has bleached maple flooring in the dining area. the problem is that our dining set is a dark oak. we think it will look very bad to put them next to each other. My question is, can a bleached maple floor be sanded down and refinished to a darker shade or is there something special about it that won't allow it? Thanks.
