I'm looking for information on building a domed ceiling.
In the new master bathroom in our house, we'd like to have an oval cutout in the ceiling directly above our oval-shaped bathtub, with a dome sitting over top. The oval dome would be 10 feet long and 6 feet wide. Lights would iluminate our dome, and perhaps clouds would be painted inside the dome to make it look like the sky.
However, I'm having a difficult time finding out 'how' to build a domed ceiling. What is involved in the framing of such a dome?
