I am purchasing a home that has 3/4 inch oak hardwood floors in the foyer and dinner room. The problem is that the floors crackle when you walk on them. Its not your basic squeek. I will be putting new hardwood in the kitchen area and was wondering if I just need to replace these at that time. Any ideas on how to stop the crackle sound. Thanks for the help.
