I'm assuming you want the hardwood floor as the one that shows. Remove adhesive without damaging it??? If you're saying that with the hopes of removing the adhesive and you'll be left with a nice hardwood floor, that won't happen! Your only hope is to remove most of all the adhesive you can, then sand the floor. Because of what the foolish people did before you, this floor could very well be ruined already.
