Are you sure it's not 'bowing' vs bubbling? Did you leave the siding nails 'loose'?
The only other thing I can think of is if this part of the house is near your barbeque grill, that will surely do it! Heat is the only factor that I can think of that will contribute to this. Let me know what you think.
