I'm about to move into a condo. The former owners painted over EVERY possible surface, including two built in bookcases that flank the living room window and the box that encases the doorbell on the inside of the unit. They even painted over the peephole cover -- I had to scrape paint off to move the cover over to see out into the hall. Sheesh. Anyway, what kind of paint remover should I use? Are there different paint removers for wood and for metal? Sorry to sound like a total rube. Can anyone help?
