The tile part is the easy one. Its hard to goof up demo work. Is your tile on a counter top..of so you need a wide bladed chisel..not a wood chisel... I believe it's called a cole chisel..a hammer and a good pair of safety glasses. Cover everything around your counter top as old mortar will fly everywhere... If is a floor..use a 4" wide floor mutt... its mostly elbow grease. On the counter top...you need to scratch up the top to give it a tooth for the paint to adhere. Porter makes an old epoxy product that I use on tile floors that dries hard as a rock..can be tinted any color. Good luck
