In my attic the outercovering of the HVAC duct work is disintegrating. I have been told that the gray covered duct had a manufacturing defect and all of the pipe in my attic will eventually need to be replaced. Does anyone have any info on this. I have not been able to find anything of the web. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
