JB, thanks for the suggestions. If I lay down the pine planks ontop of the sub floor, door clearance won't be a problem. JB you suggested 'Red Rosin Paper' what is this - a vapor barrier? I expect to have alittle wear and tear to give the floor plenty of charm- it's in a 2nd floor bedroom so it is in a low traffic area. Thanks again.
