Find out what is under the particleboard. You may have regular 3/4" underlayment below it (plywood or osb) which is what I would put the flooring on. I always insulate bedroom floors for sound purposes when they are over potential living spaces. I you do put a plank sub floor down you are doubling your chances for squeaks and it would be a lot of work vs. putting down plywood. If you do go ahead and put plank subflooring then I would glue and ring nail or screw it to the joists and also I would pre-stain the bottom if you aren't going to leave it just raw wood finish. Also, I would use black felt paper instead of red rosin so that you can use square edge planks and you will have a nice dark space showing between any gaps that way. If you have a conditioned space under the floor then I wouldn't be concerned with any moisture or warping issues.
