Hi, We're installing a new waste line for a toilet that will be going into a 2nd floor bathroom. (It will be capped off until we get to installing the toilet) There is an existing toilet with a 3" waste line that is tied into the 4" cast iron waste pipe. I was wondering if it is within code to tie another 3" pipe into the existing 3" black pipe or do we need to break through and install the new line into the 4" cast iron waste pipe? I'd rather DIY than pay to get a plumber to do this. thanks for your help.
