I just ripped up my carpet and found that there are places in the subfloor that are uneven. The uneven spots are where the floor boards meet. I have to get rid of these hills before I can install the Pergo. How should I do this and what causes it? I suspect that I will have to shave the edges of the boards and place more screws in the boards.
