Joe's answer scared me so much I dashed off to try yours--worked perfectly. There was a small white plastic piece between the screen and the washer. I couldn't see much use for it (maybe it just keeps the debris from tearing the screen). Once I got rid of it, water came pouring out. Thanks again.
