Sistering for one will not solve the problem at all. There is very little structural support in sistering.
The key would be jacks along the span with peirs for support and yes, the house would crack coming back to level. This always happens. I doubt that widows and glass would break, depends on how gentle the people are.
You will get stress cracks above doors and windows.
