If you are going to cut the bolt off, use plastic electical tape and put a strip lengthwise down the back of the blade and fold so 1/2 is on either side of the blade. This will provide some padding and help reduce the chances of damaging the ceramic. Also if you are forced to do it by hand the tape can be wrapped around the base of the blade to make a handle. Last time I did it I found it to be easier to set the blade up to use pull strokes for the cutting since you don't have the saw to stiffen the blade.
