Repairing Nail Holes in Plasterboard Posted by skip on April 23rd, 2002 12:41 PM
I have removed wood paneling that had been nailed to a plasterboard wall. The wall is in good shape however where the nails were removed there is often some frayed edges of the surface wallboard paper protruding. I want to fill in the nail holes with mud and then paint. What is the best way to patch these nail holes. I am concerned that if I apply mud over the frayed paper it will not sand off smoothly.
