Tumbled Marble on Bathroom Floors

I am considering tumbled marble for our bathroom and would like your opinion on the
following:

1. How much of a problem is using 4x4 tumbled marble on the floor and especially around
the toilet. Will inevitable drips and sprays find their way into the tumbled marble and will
they remain, cause discoloration, odors, etc.? I have heard that this may be a significant problem and
that I should consider a synthetic "tumbled marble-type" floor instead.

2. Is 4x4 o.k. for the shower or bathroom floor or is 2x2 ideal. What are the disadvantages
to using 4x4 in the shower?
