Well Pump & Attic Fan... New home owners need HELP!!

My wife and I are new home owners. I'm sure everyone knows how exciting your first house is and also how much work it can be!

I want to put a well pump in my yard cut the costs on watering the lawn which I'm trying to keep green. Can anyone tell me what would be a good brand or type and the best way to install it?

Also someone mentioned to me that I should have an attic fan to cut down on cooling costs. Does this really work and how to I put one in if I already don't have some kind of system already in place.

Any other energy/cost saving tips would be appricated also. Maybe there should be a section titled "Everything a New Home Owner Should Know"
