Hi Bill, If you don't have time to go to the Assessor's office, I've also found on realtor.com that if you put in search criteria for your state and town and go to the details page of a particular house, scroll down the page alittle, you'll see "Check home values in your area". You can find how much the houses have sold in your neighborhood. I think it's as recent as Feb 2002.
