Kitchen counter tops

Is there a product that you can paint on kitchen formica tops? They are in good shape but I am tired of the color! It is white with gold fleck! I thought I saw an F.C.E. lesson a couple of years ago and the lady painted the counter top and gave the whole kitchen a new look! Thanks!
