"sand it and prime it with Zinzer's BIN (the red one not the blue one). BIN is the stickiest primer available. If you then paint over it with an oil based semigloss you'll have a fairly durable surface. If you'd rather paint with latex, you beed to seal it with a waterbased varnish for durability"
