But I only get a chance to look at this site a couple of times a day. Don't seal the ends of the clear plastic tube. I would use tubing that is at least 5/8 inch in diameter to make it easy to fill. Tie one end of the tube to one of your stakes. Hold or tie the other end up alongside of the first end. Pour water in one end until it fills the tube so that the water is at the same level up about halfway on your stake in both ends of the tube. If there are no air bubbles in the tube, the level will be the same in both ends of the tube. Now you can take one end and walk around anywhere in the pool area (be careful not to lay the loose end down or raise it too high, 'cause water will run out and you'll have to start over) Anyway, you can walk around and the water level in the end you are holding will always be at the same level as the reference end. By measuring the distance from the level of water in the tube to the ground, you can tell how high or low the ground is as compared to another spot on the ground. To help, you might want to drive small stakes all over the area you are trying to level so the tops of the stakes are even with the water level in the tube. Then you will have a reference while you are moving the soil. Hope this helps, Good Luck! Dodgeman
