Although I have looked at many hidden deck fasteners to avoid unsightly screw holes; I keep wondering why I have not seen plugs cut and inserted into countersunk screw holes as an alternative. It seems that plugs could not only resist decay and repel moisture in the screw holes, but also add an interesting design element. Is is a viable soulution or just dreaming?
