Patio Celing

I just bought a house with a three season enclosed porch. The celing is plywood and badly peeling. Since it is plywood it is to porous for paint,right? I want to finish the celing are there some type of glue adhesive ceiling tiles, I can install. I do not want to put a vinyl covering sheets, as was recommended in Home Depot. Are there any suggestions out there. Thanks
