Can anyone recommend a tree that is desirable to plant in the parkway (city's property in front of home)? I have the opportunity to choose what the city will plant and I want something that looks and smells nice. More important, I would like a tree that doesn't create huge amounts of "gutter clogging things" in the spring and fall. Also, I've heard certain trees have more aggressive root systems than others. Are there any tree types I would want to avoid? Thanks.
