and flashing would also be good PT wood will not last forever so the flashing would be a good thing. Also, keep all wood away from the soil where osmosis can and will take place.
Consider masonite plywood exterior siding. Has a wood grain and primed and will last a long time IF it also does not touch the soil or standing water.
