Recessed lighting

I live in a old house that has a 10 inch by 10 inch ceiling cut out recessed light (11.5 inch by 11.5 inch trim with the trim). I was thinking of going to a different type of light, and was wondering the best way to cover this cut out in the ceiling.

Also if I decided to stay with the recessed light does anyone know who might sell a light that would fit in a 10 x 10 cut out.
