My kitchen hasn't been painted in over 25 years. There's a yellow cast caused by years of accumulated hardened grease and grime. I want to paint, but need to prep the walls. I've tried every type of cleaner recommended but nothing seems to work. The local home improvement center said to simply sand the walls, prime, the paint. Will this really work? The original paint is latex.
