Assuming that you have already washed with Tri-Sodium Phosphate (TSP), yes, their program will work fine. I think that I would wash again with TSP after sanding, but that is pretty much a judgement call. In any case, you should go over with a damp sponge to get off any sanding dust. You don't have to sand deeply, just rough up the surface. There is a possibility that there is lead based paint under the top coat, so be sure to wear a mask, cover any food, keep cabinets closed and then rewash dishes after, etc. The quality of the primer will make all the difference in the finished job in preventing bleed-thru. Oil based KILZ would be my choice. And praying for cooler weather might also be in order. :o) Henry
