Hi, my name is Duy Cuong Banh and I have a few questions regarding ceramic tiles flooring. Currently, my main floor of my house is carpeted and I would like to replace it with ceramic tiles. I had a couple of contractors come in to give me a free estimate. The contractors that came in seems to have different opinion on whether ceramic tiles can be tiled right on the particle boards. Some says its not a problem because they will screwed down the particle boards and apply a layer of cerment over a wire mesh. Others says you need to lay down sheets of plywood or cerment boards over the particle boards to make it sturdy. Can you please tell me who is right and is it possible if you can give me an outline of what needs to be done when tiling the floor with ceramic tiles? Thank-you!
