Need to replace Masonite siding on home and am moving towards Hardi-Plank. Neighbor claims Vinyl siding the way to go due to Hardi-Plank retains moisture... Live in Houston, Tx. Hardi-Plank contractor claims Vinyl siding retains moisture and is more expensive.
Also, how often should Hardi-Plank be painted to maintain Mfg. 50 Year Warranty?
