We have painted raised panel cabinets in 2 of our bathrooms. The wood along the edges of the doors and drawers has swelled and the paint lifted. We have 3 cabinets like this and 2 out of the 3 have this problem. I think it is mdf under the paint. The house was new when we bought it 6 years ago, and I hate to have to replace the cabinets already. Can the "bubbled up" areas of the mdf be sanded down and then repaint the cabinets? If so what paint and finish do I use so that moisture doesn't cause more problems? Thanks for any advice you can give
