Dear Bass,

You can hire a general contractor to take this job on. If you have the time and some experience you could act as your own general contractor and hire each trade yourself. Keep in mind that the remodeling process has many variables and each step should be planned as such. Also beware of hidden suprises. If you want to hire a good general contractor look to NARI or local builder/contractor groups for names. Also check with friends or family. Look at some work of these contractors, dont just depend on a list of references with telephone numbers.
Make sure you make a list of specs so you can compare apples to apples. Good Luck. Mike
