Will skunks spray when caught?

I'm trying to catch a skunk under our shed. I have a Have A Heart Trap, but was reluctant to use it, since I wasn't sure if once I trapped the skunk, it would spray me when I went to transport it to the woods, miles from our house.


Once trapped, will a skunk spray?
