My name is Marcel. I live in Andover, Ma .My home was built in 1957. It has the main floor, and a not finished walk in basement. We decided to finish the basement.
We decided to remove the existing slab, dig 1'-0" and pour another slab. The foundation is only 1'-0" deep so we will be at the same level as the foundation.
What can we do? Is there any minimum height above the deepest point of the foundation, which the slab must be? Is this required by codes?
