I do not know of any method for removal. Wire brushing will only polish the brick and add a shine. Chemicals will make the mess smear and look even worse. If you have a compressor, the blaster it self is cheap to rent, the sand is cheap, and build a fence or protectant to cover the wood and just do a directional spray.
