I just finished removing wallpaper with a product called Wallwik. Basically, you score the wallpaper then put up the Wallwik fabric soaked in water. We found the "top" layer of wallpaper peeled right off without doing anything to it, leaving the under part that was glued to the wall. We didn't bother to score and just put the Wallwik on. Worked great! Very similar to a previous poster's idea. It does puddle a lot of water on the floor, so be careful of that.
