Chandra,If you are painting indoor,you really don't need to prime the brick, What I recomend is get a 1 inch thick roller cover,the paint will get in the crevices using the roller as oppose to the sprayer that will only get to the surface apply two maybe three coats of paint.Try Sherwin Williams 200 interior latex.
