Call 1-800-528-5236 and tell them the problem that you are having. Even go through the steps, while on the phone, to reprogram both controllers. When they still both do not work, at the same time, ask them if there is a flaw within the controllers. At that point ask for a free replacement controller and they should send you one. I followed this process and it worked for me.
